LWV to host a Q & A with Vici Otte, next Tuesday, August 25th

FREEPORT, Ill., August 18, 2020 — The League of Women Voters of Freeport is hosting a public Q & A program on Tuesday, August 25, at 5 p.m. at the Freeport Public Library. The presenter for the evening is Stephenson County Clerk and Recorder Vici Otte.
Ms. Otte has held her office since 1998. She will discuss how her office has prepared for mail-in voting, her precautions to safeguard each and every vote, and other options for early voting, as well as dates voters, should know. Most importantly, she stands ready to answer audience questions concerning voting in the upcoming election

ATTENTION: All voters and interested members of the public are invited to Ms. Otte’s presentation. However, seating will be limited to 25 people to allow for social distancing. You must call the number below to secure a spot in person at the library. The Voice of Freeport will live stream the event on their page on Facebook and to the League of Women Voters page also for those that are not able to attend in person. In addition, you may submit questions to the email below.

If you are attending in person, after a brief intermission, a League of Women Voters Business Meeting with the election of officers will follow the public meeting.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that works to promote good government, register voters, and encourage active participation in government since 1920.
