Social Justice Committee member Pat Norman asks Freeport Police Chief Matthew Summers about the diversity of the police force. The question came after Summers gave a 1-hour presentation in which he did not acknowledge the lack of diversity on the force. Summers said that as of July 16th, 2020, the force has just 1 of his 39 total police officers is Black.
