Operation Love Prepares Meal Deliveries
As we reported earlier this month Operation Love is on the move. Scheduled meal deliveries are to take place on Saturday August 29th. There are currently 53 seniors scheduled to receive sub sandwiches, chips, cake, and fruit cups!
The cut off to be added to the meal delivery will be Thursday August 27th by 6PM. If you’re a Freeport senior or you know someone who would benefit from this monthly program please call 815-821-9858 to leave a message to be added to the list. Currently Operation Love can handle about 15 more clients as of this announcement. If Operation Love receives more requests than they can handle this month the surplus will be added to next months list. 65 and over, please!
If you’d like to volunteer or contribute to this program please reach out to Zandra Bright at 815-821-9858. Zandra started Operation Love back in April as part of a tutoring group at St. James CME on Empire St. in Freeport. Operation Love was formed as a children’s ministry from the tutoring group and now serves meals to between 50-75 Freeport residents of the 65+ community.
